Pickleball Social on the Beach – Free

You are invited to play Pickleball on the beach and have a bonfire! The event is free and everyone is welcome!

Meet at the main lifeguard tower/basketball courts on Bolsa Chica State Beach any time in between 1-9pm.

Bring a dish or a snack to share, a chair, shade and a smile! An optional item to bring is a canned food item for Collette’s Children’s Home.

Paddles, nets, balls, firewood, hot dogs and beverages will be provided.

Bird Talk & Nature Walk – Free

Join the Amigos de Bolsa Chica for a free bird talk and nature walk at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. Bolsa Chica provides a feeding and nesting habitat for thousands of birds and is considered one of the prime birding sites in Southern California. The variety of bird species changes throughout the year as they migrate during each season. The walk takes place the last Saturday of each month at 9:00 am. Meet at the South Parking Lot across from the entrance to Bolsa Chica State Beach. Carpooling is encouraged as parking at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve is limited.

3K Walk for Horses – $0-$25

Sunday, March 1

The Free Rein Foundation rescues horses and then works with them in Equine-Assisted therapy programs for kids, vets, and adults.

Join them for Walk for Horses on National Horse Protection Day!

Special activities include: meeting with rescued horses and photo opportunities, a scavenger hunt, and learning about how rescued horses can help humans in equine assisted therapy!
