Overview
This test screens for possible allergies to certain common foods. Specifically, it measures the IgE antibody levels which are responsible in food allergies. Higher than normal levels can be an indicator that an allergy to a certain food is present.
These results need to be interpreted with caution and discussed with an allergist, as higher than normal IgE levels do not always equate a true allergy to a specific food.
